Fixe issue during install framework 3.5 on Windows Server 2012


Framework 3.5 is required for several software, such as SQL server, SCCM etc.
If you try to add role of NetFx3 directly it will fail.
This known issue is caused by missing on SXS folder

The following post with screen capture, explain how to avoid errors when installing framework 3.5 on Windows Server 2012 R2 :

- Open the Server Manager Tool of Windows Server 2012 (R2) and then  click on the Add Roles and Features item in the Manage menu


-If the following window appear click Next 


-Choose Role-based or feature-based installation option and click Next 


Click Select a server from the server pool and over the grid, select the server as shown in the following picture.


- Click Next button  

-Check Net Framework 3.5 Features then click Next again 


-In the Next window, click on Specify an alternative source patch


- The source files required for .Net Framework 3.5 are in Windows Server 2012 (R2) DVD (or in the related ISO file) Exemple  "F:\Sources\SxS" Then click OK


- Click Install button to start the application deployment, When software deployment end the status will be Completed successfully as shown below 




-Click Close 
-The .Net Framework 3.5 (NetFx3) feature has been installed in your system
