Windows 10: how to fix the bug of the function keys

Windows 10: how to fix the bug of FN key

Released July 29 and updated several times since, Windows 10 is not without some bugs. Among them, many users ranting against the recognition of their laptop keys.
More function keys or numeric keypad is a bit annoying anyway ... But here's how to deal with them.

Many laptop users complain indeed big problems concerning certain keys on their keyboard. These are not at all recognized by Windows 10, while they were under the Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.The function keys and / or numeric buttons are not at all recognized by the new operating system.
The problem seems to relate essentially to Asus and Toshiba laptops, but also some notebook models Sony and Acer. And even a complete reinstallation of Windows 10 and the various Cumulative Updates the OS, which have been running for a few weeks, do not solve the problem.
It seems that the bug is actually related to a driver conflict. Some Asus PC users have therefore turned to the manufacturer of their PC, which stated that no updated drivers was studied.
Some users's have found a solution, which is actually quite simple to apply.

The solution in question is to uninstall the default drivers installed, and force the manufacturer's driver installation. To do this, press the Start button and go to Settings. Click System, thenApplications and Features. Locate the Synaptics pointing device program entitled and uninstall it. Restart the system if the problem is not solved, visit the manufacturer's website to your PC and load the drivers dedicated to your laptop. Install them and restart your machine. This time, everything should return to normal. Simple, yet he had to think about it. Now it is hoped that a solution a little less "manual" will be provided with the next update of Windows 10, which should arrive in November.
