Microsoft promises a 10 year support for Windows 10
10 year support for Windows 10
Investing in Windows 10 is perhaps not a bad idea. Anyway, if you decide to migrate to Windows July 29, rest assured: the editor will provide support that will last a decade.
Microsoft has confirmed the good news: support for Windows 10, ie the provision of patches and windows updates is scheduled until October 13, 2020. But that's not all: this is the "mainstream" media - then the publisher will continue to deliver maintenance updates and fix potential vulnerabilities to close it until 14 October 2025.
Even if the computers on which Windows 10 works now may not be able to show whether all these install future updates. Microsoft has already announced that the next version of its OS was a platform that will bring additional functions without the need to develop heavy major releases. A bit like Chrome or Firefox, the development cycle is very fast; each new release includes new features and small fixes.
